How Zack Snyder Is Teasing Fans With The Star Wars - DC Mash Up They've Dreamed About
While Lucasfilm may be owned by the same media company that owns Marvel Comics, that doesn’t mean that the competition over at DC isn’t equally in love with the galaxy far, far, away. One person who is particularly excited to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the director of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Zack Snyder is getting so excited for the movie that’s it’s beginning to bleed over into the movie he is working on. For example, check out Bruce Wayne staring down Darth Vader in the Tweeted GIF below:
If the Darth Vader costume was like power armor you could take on and off, that would be a serious menace. He surely wouldn’t be quite as mobile as The Batman, but he’d be seriously dangerous. It’s a fitting comparison. Part of the reason that Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader is in a futile attempt to protect the woman he loves. Bruce Wayne becomes Batman in an attempt to avenge the death of his parents. It’s a fine line. Bruce Wayne could have just as easily become a super villain.
That’s not the only place where the director has inserted Star Wars into his movie new, however. With the help of some editing software he’s created a serious traffic problem in the skies, as Superman isn’t the only one flying around:
Are the people looking to be rescued by Superman, or the Resistance? Honestly, X-Wing’s don’t work very well as rescue craft, as there isn’t much additional seating. With the official premiere of The Force Awakens last night, the hype train has hit the final station as we move toward the official release later this week. With it being nearly 40 years since the first movie, many people who became movie fans because of Star Wars are now the people making movies. Zack Snyder is obviously one of these people as evidenced by these Tweets.
Is Batman v. Superman severely lacking in the X-wing department? Is this a movie you’d like to see? Should we start a petition for Batman v. Superman v. Darth Vader?
